About the Himi Patch
My name is Megan and I am 21 years old and live in Gainesville Florida. I run this wonderful rabbitry of Himalayans. I started showing rabbits after my sister got her first rabbit in middle school. I went with her to our first ARBA show and enjoyed being there. So I bought a raffle ticket and put it in the bag for a rabbit. The rabbit I won was a Himalayan Chocolate buck. I was approached later that day by a gracious women, Errean, who asked if I would like a doe to go along with my buck. After some convincing, my mom agreed to let me have the doe as well. Errean also talked to me about the breed and the club and was very helpful! Several years later, here I am with quite a bit more rabbits.
I have grown to love this breed and the Himalayan is my main focus. I currently have all four varieties: Black, Blue, Chocolate, and Lilac. I am focusing on my chocolates and improving my blacks. I currently have about 20 holes, although they are not all currently filled. My rabbitry is currently not with me in Gainesville and I am planning on moving them in the next several weeks. Once my rabbitry is moved and all set up I plan on extending it a little and really focus on my breeding. I wouldn't have this rabbitry with out the help and support of my mother.
